Better Call Saul, el spin off de Breaking Bad, emitido en España por Movistar Series, se cuela con dos nominaciones a los premios de la Asociación de Periodistas de Televisión de Estados Unidos. Los galardonados de esta quinta edición de los Critic's Choice Television Awards se darán a conocer en la ceremonia de entrega que tendrá lugar el próximo 31 de mayo.

Sorprenden en la lista de nominaciones ausencias destacadas como la apuesta principal de Netflix, con la tercera temporada de House of Cards (aunque mantienen Orange is the new black), la última temporada de Boardwalk Empire, de HBO (que mantiene Juego de tronos como candidata), protagonizada por Steve Buscemi y apadrinada por Martin Scorsese, o Mad Men, cuya sesión final se emite ahora en Canal Plus simultáneamente con Estados Unidos.

Tampoco están incluidas en esta ocasión clásicos de estos premios como la comedia Modern Family, Louie o Parks and Recreation.

Sí están entre las apuestas de los críticos Transparent, con cuatro nominaciones, la premiada telenovela en tono de comedia Jane the Virgin, con tres, y Broad City, Veep, The Big Bang Theory o Silicon Valley.

La producción de HBO Olive Kitteridge (Frances McDormand) compite, con cinco nominaciones, con American Crime, American Horror Story  y The Honourable Woman.

También se ha colado 24, de Kiefer Sutherland, la serie que Fox recuperó hace meses.
